Jaycee and Gerry found me on this forum. They also won an engagement photo session with one of the photographer on the forum. I guess I got lucky that I got to document their wedding. I didn't know they were going to be on Wedding SOS until a week before the wedding. Jaycee and Gerry are an amazing couple and I love their personality.

I personally haven't watch the Wedding SOS. It is on slice network. I went on youtube and did a search. It is pretty cool She help the couple with wedding planning and grant the couple with 3 wishes. I will let you guys guess what those wishes are. All the hints are in the 3 photos below. To be honest I am guessing these are the wishes.

08,08,08 Whitney and Ian got married at the Uxbridge Scout Museum. It was an outdoor wedding and on the way there it started to poor. I had faith it will stop when the wedding ceremony start and it did and We also got a rainbow when they exchanged vows. The reception was at Uxbridge Music Hall, I love the setting and theme of the wedding and everyone had an awsome time. =)

WorkFlow + Post Process

Today I will go over the post process of the images to give you an idea of what being done to the images after capture and Why I stay an hour or whatever it takes to get the images at reception.

Raw files is basically the highest quality image format the camera capture. In another term it is an uncooked kobe beef.

Proof is like medium rare, After selecting all the images from raw files, time to start cooking. An 8hrs wedding I typically select about 600-800 images to cook for proof. You can't stir fry all the images because each images are different. I work on
each images by adding salt and pepper to taste.

Im usually happy with the proof and the final steps is for enlargement. Removing blemishes, Lighten the eyes, and dark circles under the eyes. Darken the background. Those things are mostly being requested by clients.

I had a lot of fun with Joanne & Andrew =) but I will only post the appropriate photos I guess it all depends on how I feel. I don't know if you all notice my photos are either extremely colorful or extremely natural. I guess it all depends on the mood that I try to archive.

Yesterday I was feeling a little blue and I tested this new photo album software. It is very easy to use and I would like to share with you the final product! I was really looking for a faster solution to design photo album and I tried many software. Most software have an autobuild button. Where you click on it and it automatic fill all the template with random images you selected but I don't like the result.
It doesn't have a good flow to it and it doesn't really tell the story. So I custom design template and select each image to fill the book. I like the end result so much I ended up ordering a photo book.

Sara Sharifpoor was my level 2 Salsa instructor at Toronto Dance Salsa. Im level 4 now so watch out!! =P We did this photos session @ Yorkville last summer. It was supposed to be a 1hr session but It end up being 30mins but She was a star and She also had a wedding to attend to. I photograph many wedding but for the first time the bridemaid had a little photo session before the wedding reception. It was great and I had lot of fun!

We took this engagement photo in middle of October. It was a little cold but Joe & April did it anyways. They booked us to photograph theirs wedding in May. The wedding will take place at The Eglinton Grand. They order some 5x7 but I like to give them a big photograph so they could frame it and put it on the wall. I design the photo and made a 11x17 photo. It was a perfect christmas gift for them. I can't wait to photograph theirs wedding.
